Library Punta Banco is completely run by volunteers and is 100% philantropic, so we welcome every donation!
Here are some suggestions of how you can help by donating:
- Books. We like children books in Spanish (any level), English (beginner reader or pre-reader levels) or bilingual (English/Spanish). Adult books in Spanish. Take a look at our booklist to see what we already have. We will also soon publish an Amazon wishlist to make it easier to donate books. If you like to send the books to us by mail, please make sure to write on the package that it contains a donation of books for the children of Punta Banco. You can find our mailing address here.
- Art supplies. The kids just love to color, so coloringbooks are absolutely number one on our wishlist. But any art supplies you can bring will do!
- Clothes. Since we organize clothingsales in the village to raise money for the library you can leave all sorts of clothes and shoes that are still worth wearing with us. Also sheets and towels (in a decent state) will sell.
- Laptops. Bring the old laptop you’re not using anymore, but still works. The kids will have so much fun on them!
- Time. More than anything we like to give the kids personal attention, so any time you could spend with the children of Punta Banco are a great help!
